Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Between the holiday last week, the holidays coming up, a house full of guests, and working on some new music...I just haven't had a second to get all my thoughts down. Not to mention time to upload all the pics. Will try to do that soon! Had a great Thanksgiving and great time with the family. Jeff's mom did all the hard work so I just made a few side dishes and made the table look great! It was a really nice, relaxing time and Rubes loved having them all here. We did too! :-)
Super excited for Christmas this year, as Ruby is really getting it now. She was happy to see Santa at the mall and plopped right on his lap. Poor fella was trying to fish out of her what she wanted for Christmas and she made him work for it. Dora? No. Sponge Bob? No. Dolly? No. A Dress? YESH! That's my girl. Didn't get her pic taken that day since she was in sweats so we'll get her all dressed up next week and go again. (Not like we don't visit the mall often!) Got a real Christmas tree today and I think our last one. LOVE the smell of a real tree but seems like such a waste to have for a month or so and then toss. Better for the environment to get a fake one so we agreed we'd do it just one more time than convert. Anyway, it's a nice looking one and we will decorate one night this week. Put Ruby's little pink princess tree up yesterday and she was perfectly giddy. I brought out the box of decorations and asked her what she thought they were. She yelled, TOYS! Well, sort of honey. After some convincing, she actually put them on the tree and decided she liked them there. Wanted to play with them for the longest time. It was so cute, actually. She looked at every one and marveled at it. How I love to see her joy. It's just awesome!
As for the music...
Working on some new tunes...working with some new musicians around here...and just loving it all. Also sold a bunch of my lullabies CD's this week! Special thanks to Loreen (a fellow adoptive mom) and Jeff's mom and sister who have been spreading the word (and music) like crazy. Another nice donation to go to Mercy Centre this week! Yea!
Hope you all are revving up for the holidays and having a great time! Will post pics and more updates soon!

Isn't this a crazy busy time?? For us here as well in South Africa, just the same....
But I love these buzzing times, with family and friends around, everybody in a good mood.. happy times!!
Good Luck on the new music... I am excited for you!! I will buy some from you next year when I see you! So bring!!
This is a lovely post.
All the best, Boonie
Glad to hear that things are so good even if they're keeping you on the go. I love the Ruby thought that the ornaments were toys. Got to love a kids perspective.
I hope Santa brings her many beautiful new dresses. Some how I have a feeling that maybe a wish list item Santa is happy to fulfill!
Can wait to hear the new music.
Pretty darned cute that Ruby loves her dresses!!! :) What fun, that you're still creating music!
They make pink princess trees???? Shhhh...don't let Lily know!
LOL, Wendy. Got it at Target (I think) last year. Saw them at Walmart, too. Just a little sparkly think and pre-lit. I added the Disney princess ornaments, balls, and all things girlie myself. :-)
