Happy Birthday Ruby!

What can I say? It was an incredible day. It was a gorgeous out today with unusually warm (80+ degree) weather and the little bug was super happy and excited all day.
We started off picking one of her spring outfits and she was terribly excited about wearing head-to-toe pink - as if that's not a normal occurrence. She was equally happy about opening her first present after bfast.
She's watched Mulan a few times in the last month and really loves it. I love it too cause she's a strong character who is also Asian. It's the first time Ruby's really idolized a "princess" that is not blond.
Love how happy she is here admiring it.
Ready for school and taking Mulan with her.
Her new fairy cottage was waiting for her when she got back. She noticed it immediately and ran over.
But we didn't have all the fairies in the house as pictured above. Jeff came up with the great idea to hide the fairies all over the room and have her find them.
The first one was just above her on the window sill and we had to tell her to look up! look up! b4 she found him. After that it was great fun watching her find them all.
Having fun playing with the house. (I made the little toad stool and stumps patio set. It came with the rest of the furniture).
Loved the little fairies, too. It was so great to see her love and appreciate every little thing ...especially the stuff I made for her. She's such a sweet kid. Have more pics from our fun in the sun but will have to post tomorrow.
We played, we ate outside, we watched a movie together and now we are all beat. Rubes was asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow and mine surely will be soon, too.

Happy Birthday, Miss Ruby. Love the hidden fairy idea. So much fun.

I still remember the stuff like that from my childhood. I'm sure Ruby will have that memory with her for a long time too!
